Developing a Comprehensive Set of Website Quality Dimensions through Literature Review
방민석, 서우종 · 2008
Previous researches on Web metrics have presented various quality dimensions of websites. However, these dimensions do not comprise all facets of website quality, some studies dealt with a certain type of websites, and definitions of some dimensions are very confusing. These problems led us to develop a set of generic website quality dimensions which can be employed without the restrictions of applicable scopes or conditions. By synthesizing previous literature on website quality, we propose five first-order quality dimensions and 25 second-order dimensions. Futhermore, this paper presents useful guidelines and recommendatory illustrations for the more effective use of the proposed quality dimensions. These research results are expected to help researchers and practitioners develop websites effectively, and evaluate and improve them successfully.
