A Normalization Technique for 3D Reconstruction from Video Sequences

3D reconstruction from video sequences is known as an error sensitive process. Besides advanced op-timization techniques, coordinate normalization tech-niques are useful to improve the result. Despite their simplicity they are very effective improve numerical stability in the presence of noise. In this paper, we discuss them in a practical reconstruction framework and suggest a normalization technique for the struc-ture update stage that gives better results for both syn-thetic and real data. 1
