Building video streaming platform for educational content delivery

This paper presents security extension of Videoserver platform for establishing secure media content delivery to authenticated users. Videoserver platform is based on Wowza server services with enhanced player with additional security features and supported by mobile application for Android based devices. Paper presents short technology overview and introduces partial solutions with its specifications. Key features is implementation of modified SecureToken and encrypted delivery to mobile devices. This could lead to new software extension available for public commercial use. Videoserver is popular platform created by students at Computer Networks Laboratory located at Technical University in Košice.
