Comparative Study on the Legal Protection for Computer Programs: Copyright, Patent Law - U.S. Europe and Mexico

This paper is a comparative study of the legal protection for computer programs. It covers copyright protection as well as the protection computer programs receive form patent law. The analysis is focused on the European Union, the United States, and Mexico, which is an example representative of legal developments in the Americas. It also covers international treaties and documents protecting computer programs, showing the legal developments from those analyzed legal systems and international treaties pretending protection form patent law, besides protection from copyrights.
