New minimal structures for the implementation of PC IIR systems

Power complementary systems find applications in digital filter banks. The authors present two new structural representations that span the entire set of IIR (infinite-impulse-response) power complementary vectors. The first representation is in terms of complex planar rotation angles and gives rise to a lattice structure. The second representation is in terms of unit-norm vectors. The structures are also minimal in the number of both scalar delays and parameters used.>
