Facial Feature Extraction of Color Image using Gray Scale Intensity Value

Now-a-days extraction of facial feature points has become an important issue in many applications, such as face recognition, expression recognition, and face detection. A method of facial feature extraction using gray scale intensity value is proposed in this paper. In this method we have developed a technique for extracting the facial features from a color image through skin region extraction, under normal lighting condition and saving the time during the feature extracting by the goal of detecting the features in different expression. The proposed method is one of the simplest way to extract the facial features with good accuracy.
