I this paper, we describe our ex79eriece m the impleme tatio of MidART Middleware ad etwork Arehitecture for distributed Real-Time systems. Our Midi!IT project addresses the problem of middleware desig to support high speed etwork based distributed real-time applicatios. The miqueess of Midi!IT lies m the simplicity of services provided ad the flexibility of data flectio models, compared with more geeral pur79ose but much more complicated middleware such as CORBA implemetatios. This simplicity leads to ease of mderstadmg ad ease of use by applicatio builders, while its flexiblity sufficietly serves the eeds of the class of real-time applicatios MidART is desiged for.
