Some Recent Studies in Vigilance

In this article an attempt has been made to review the vigilance leterature. Experimental studies and their theoretical analysis have been discudded and the inadequacy of the existing theories has been brought out. The need for a field approach to solve problems involving vigilance tasks has been emphasised.
