Reconfiguration architecture for distributed processing

Samuel Rogers, L.E. Schulwitz · 2003

An examination is made of distributed processing relative to configurability. Starting with a model that illustrates how distribution is changing the ways users view and build their systems, the concept of connectivity is proposed as a useful way of describing configurability. Finally, an architecture, called the Multibus II systems architecture (MSA), is described. MSA was designed explicitly for meeting configurability challenges in distributed systems.>
