Come Together, Right Now, Over Me: Conceptual and Tangible Design of Pleasurable Dupliances for Children
Daniel Fällman, Niklas Andersson, Lars Johansson · 2001
This paper adds to the small amount of existing research on the design of children's technology. We present the concept of dupliances, which are defined as devices that encompass both physical and virtual activity, as an alternative to information appliances that are only intended to support specific information related or virtual purposes. A key design incentive is to put the uninteresting physical bodies of current information appliances to use.
