T.R. Taylor, B. Koch, T.C. Tang · 2003

The authors describe the Westinghouse/JRS microcompiler and its use on the WSP. They present the microcompiler from the user's point of view, giving a hardware overview, the programming methodology, and the support software flow. Then they present the microcompiler from the implementer's point of view, focusing on the front end, descriptor, intermediate language optimizer, and code generator portions. Benefits, status, and future work are discussed.>
