A self-tuning fuzzy controller design

This paper presents a methodology to tune the initial membership functions of a fuzzy logic controller for a controlled system. These membership functions of the controller output are adjusted according to the performance index of sliding mode control. Computer simulation results show the controlling ability of the proposed controller.
