A Theory on Structures of Autonomous Distributed Systems

Hideo Yuasa, Masami Itō · 1991

The autonomous distributed systems are systems in which the functional order of the entire system is generated by cooperative interactions among its subsystems, each of which has autonomy to control a part of the state of the system. It is well known that systems with such characters are actually realized by biological organisms. For example, the locomotory patterns of animals generated by the coordination of several neural oscillators. This paper considers a theory on structures of autonomous distributed systems.
