This paper is concerned with the design of a mathematical model for consecutive software testing. Consecutive software testing is one of the possible kinds of software testing, which can be used in the testing process. The new type of software testing is considered on the basis of the conception of operational profile. In the software testing, the optimal selection of operational profiles reduces the testing cost. The objective of this paper is to introduce how the operational profiles are selected and how the testing cost is defined in the case of consecutive software testing. Probabilistic approach to the testing process is used in the model. The cost function includes random components. The model can be used in software reliability for design of new techniques and methods of the effective consecutive testing because this model will make it possible to apply optimisation methods for the finding of the cost-effective consecutive testing procedures. Furthermore, the considered mathematical model allows creating the automated systems of optimal consecutive software testing.
