Humans in the Real World
Joseph McGhee · Handbook of Measuring System Design · 2005
Abstract Emphasizing the interrelation and interaction between humans and machines lays a firm foundation for proposing an overall model describing these aspects of measurement systems. It also allows an evaluation and comparison of the human sensing and machine sensing systems. A human and information machine model is proposed so that this crucial and central measurement link becomes clear. The two problems of measurement, namely direct and inferential measurement are described.
