Low-sensitivity nonrecursive realizations for FIR digital filters

A comparison is made of frequency responses of direct and cascade realizations of FIR digital filters under coefficient quantizations in fixed-point representation. These cascade realizations have better frequency responses than the direct realizations in stopbands. However, the latter has better response than the former in passbands.>
