Crystal Thies · 2012

This chapter begins with a discussion on the LinkedIn Advanced Search that has a lot of complexities. This is also where you see the biggest differences between the basic (free) and the premium memberships. Back in 2010, LinkedIn added several advanced search filters that were only available to premium members. In addition to the advanced search filters, premium members get more search results. Free members only get the first 100 search results. One other significant benefit of premium membership that affects active prospecting on LinkedIn is the Profile Organizer. The profile organizer allows you to save the profiles of people you’re not connected to. The chapter looks at another search that is a common target market among financial advisors that will allow us to look at some of the differences in the search filters and results between the free and premium memberships.
