Agent based software development has received growing attention in several research areas, including robotics, artificial intelligence, informative systems, and environment monitoring system. The Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FlPA) has developed a standard architecture framework for the development of agents and agent-based applications. We suggest that well established agent-based design methodologies may be extended to the programming of massively parallel computing platforms. In this paper we present a new approach for deployment of FlPA compliant agents on a MIMD massively parallel architecture. This architecture is characterized by processors having a control unit, computing unit, local memory unit, and message-passing network interface. Processor interactions are based on a message exchange mechanism, in which messages encapsulate FIPA interaction protocol A proofof -concept case study is described to illustrate the proposed approach.
