Decoding Hermitian codes beyond (d/sub min/-1)/2

I will present results from a simulation of a decoder for Hermitian curve codes in which significant decoding beyond (d/sub min/-1)/2 occurred. This behavior is explained by the geometry of the /spl Delta/-set associated to the error pattern.
