An hybrid mapping approach with place forgetting

This paper reports preliminary results of introducing forgetting in a robotic mapping strategy. The mechanism implemented is exponential decay, whose effect is like a regression to the average. Some experiments over a simulated Khepera are presented attesting the interest of the approach.
