A novel high precision temperature sensor
Stefan Marinca, Gabriel Banarie · 2015
Presented in this paper is a novel temperature sensor architecture in which we have been able to demonstrate a good temperature measurement accuracy and consistent part to part linearity. This architecture addresses the need for increasingly precise temperature sensors whether stand-alone or embedded within a standard mixed signal process. Also presented is the architectural principle implemented on a standard 0.18μm CMOS process demonstrating better than ±1.5°C accuracy over a -40 to 125°C temperature range without the need of any accurate oil bath calibration.
