A Simple Case Study of a Grid Performance System

The Global Grid Forum Performance Working Group has been developing a Grid Monitoring Architecture (GMA) that outlines one possible approach toward monitoring resources and applications in a Grid environment. This document presents a simple case study of a Grid monitoring system based on the GMA. It describes how the various system components would interact for a very basic monitoring scenario, and introduces the terminology and concepts presented in greater detail in other Working Group documents.
