Case Study Two: 12‐Month Reporting
Neale Blackwood · 2014
The second case study produces a 12-month report based on a normalized data structure. This case study demonstrates how all the features discussed in the earlier chapters can be brought together to create a stand-alone reporting model. There are some data cleansing processes involved. Structured range names are used throughout the model, which includes actuals, budgets, forecasts, last year's data, and statistics. The formulas used to create the reports are SUMIFS functions with structured range names. The dashboard is created by using normal charts that have been reduced in size. Bar, column, and line charts are used in the dashboard.
