The ASW Studio

The ASW Studio is made up of a set of software and resources, called Escom Suite, and a Web application constituting the Publishing Workshop, called Semiosphere. The ESCoM suite encompasses five applications and resources forming part of the ASW Workshop: SemioscapeData, ffCoder, OntoEditor, Interview, and ESCoMUpdate. The metalinguistic resources which make up the ASW domain ontology are stored in the client directory in the form of serialized ontology objects in XML files. They are organized into five types: ontology of work configuration; static ontology; metalexicon of conceptual terms; domain ontologies; and ontology listings.
