VLSI realization of four-port ear-type transmission lattice filter

Lin Jia, R.W. Newcomb · 2003

In this paper, four-port ear-type transmission lattice filters were realized with CMOS VLSI circuit. The basic sections are the revisions of degree one AR (Auto Regressive) and MA (Moving Average) sections and are characterized by transfer scattering matrices. This makes it easy to cascade them to form more complex structures. In our design, the filters were realized with active switched current circuits in which active current mirrors are used to get better current reflection. As an application, a degree three Butterworth lowpass filter was designed and good results were obtained.
