Serial Interface Subsystems
Jonathan A. Dell · 2015
Both simple and advanced serial interface concepts are discussed starting from the historic RS232 through to USB (universal serial bus) and Wireless configurations. The STM32F4 implements a variety of subsystems to provide serial communication facilities and code examples to set up and employ these are explained. Several applications are given, which establish serial communication protocols for various typical products. A simple application programming challenge to establish a link via inter-integrated circuit (I2C) to a touch-screen controller is presented to reinforce the concepts discussed.
