Coexistence of ADSL with Other Services
John A. C. Bingham · 2001
The “other services” to be considered here are voiceband and the three types of BRI (two echo-canceled, one TDD) defined in G.961. Coexistence in the first three cases means on the same UTP, with special problems associated with the filtering needed to separate the services. In the fourth case it means only in the same binder group; the problem is the now familiar NEXT but at such a level that it requires special techniques to make ADSL viable.
