Mechanization of web design guidelines evaluation.
Céline Mariage, Jean M. Vanderdonckt · International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction · 2001
The systematic evaluation of Web design guidelines poses a series of challenges, including the ability to accurately interpret them and to transform them into a mechanized way that is machine processable. Systematic or automatic evaluation is particularly useful when the web site to evaluate across the designated guidelines is a large-scale, information-rich, potentially distributed web site (very-large web site). This paper attempts to analyze various ways to mechanize the evaluation of some design guidelines towards automated evaluation and identifies some shortcomings.
