Advancing Front Technique Used to Generate Block Quadrilaterals

This short note presents an alternative approach of C.E.R.F.A.C.S. to sub-task 6.3.2 of the BRITE/EURAM EuroMesh project concerning the multi-block topology generation. The idea is to replace the interactive part of the common multi-block strategy by an automatic generation of the blocks. An unstructured mesh generation technique is used to automatically generate quadrangular blocks. In a separate step for each of the so-called macro-blocks a structured grid with rectangular cells is generated. Here we restrict ourselves to present some of the resulting grids.
