Ultra-fast heralded single photon source based on telecom technology and non-linear optics

We realize an ultra-fast source of telecom single photons heralded at MHz-rates by combining a 10-GHz repetition-rate laser with off-the-shelf fiber components and waveguide non-linear stages. Measured 2nd-order autocorrelation functions are the lowest reported to date.
