On the general case for H/sub ∞/ performance of weighted interval plants

We reduce the calculation of the maximal H/sub /spl infin// norm of weighted interval plants to compute the H/sub /spl infin// norm of sixteen weighted extreme plants (Kharitonov plants) and the maximal value of eight rational functions in several real intervals. The latter can be also calculated via the classical root locus method.
