Principles of data processing
Robert Stern, Nancy Stern · Medical Entomology and Zoology · 1973
second editions of data processing texts are frequently nothing more than edited and updated versions of first editions, with references to recent advances merely appended to the text. Such an approach is acceptable only in fields that undergo change at a conservative rate. It is, however, inappropriate in a subject such as data processing where the rate of change is exceedingly rapid. This revised edition of Principles of Data Processing is an entirely new text, one which maintains and improves on the pedagogic features of the first and which also provides the student with a firm understanding of the current state of the art.
