Solving Linear Equations by Iterative Methods

Israel Gohberg, Seymour Goldberg · Birkhäuser Boston eBooks · 2001

Even though a solution to the equation x − Ax = y may exist, it is often difficult to find one. Therefore, it is desirable to devise an algorithm which generates a sequence of vectors that converges to a solution. This chapter is devoted to this problem. The main results rely on the spectral theorem.
