Automatic Coin Classification and Identification 3This contribution is organized as follows.Section 2 reviews the state of the art in automated coin image analysis.Section 3 describes coin detection and invariant preprocessing and Section 4 discusses matching based on various feature descriptors.Classification, identification and information fusion is described in Section 5. Results are presented in Section 6 and conclusions are drawn in Section 7.
