Service Specification in the Distributed Intelligent Network
Markus Breugst, G. Marino, Menelaos K. Perdikeas · 2001
The last chapter focuses on service specification and implementation in the distributed intelligent network environment. The Unified Modeling Language methodology for service description is presented and the implementation of two services (Interactive Multimedia Retrieval and Broadband Video Telephony) is examined in detail as an example. The description is both from an end user view (customer perspective) and also in the form of a collaboration diagram depicting interactions and message exchanges between services logic programs and other intelligent network components offering an exposition of the distributed intelligent network's internal workings.
