Abstract: The Etherphone ™ system integrates live and recorded voice into an office workstation environment. It supports a wide range of applications, including telephony, voice mail, voice annotation and editing, audio user interfaces, audio meeting services, and narrated hypermedia documents. This report brings together a group of previously · published papers that describe these applications and the distributed voice system architecture on which they are built.
