King and Rook Vs. King on a Quarter-Infinite Board

In [3], the following open problem is posed: Played on a quarter-infinite board, with initial position WKa1, WRb2 and BKc3, can White win? In this paper, we show that the answer is yes. Indeed, White has a winning strategy which can be implemented within an 11 × 9 region.
