For the most parts testing of the func­tionality of real-time programs is performed using methodologies known from the testing ofnon-realtime programs. Then the execution time of the program is measured for various testcases to determine ifthe timing constraints are met.This is unsatisfactory for several reasons:1. Measurements canbe made only after the program is developed.
