A Regression Model for Periodic Data

The most basic periodic model is presented along with a transformation of the model to produce an ordinary least squares approach to fitting the model. The model fitted presents an opportunity to discuss the identification of and investigation of an outlier, as well as modification of the data to remedy the outlier. Then three examples are presented as complications that suggest ways in which the model must be generalized to fit a broad range of data.
