P2P Data Pot: A Distributed Micro Storage Architecture for Sensor Networks
Yuki Fujisaki · 2007
We have been developing a platform for sensor networks that enables observation of wide areas of slopes for disaster reservation systems. Our system collects sensing data from sensor nodes and sends them to P2P data pots. The P2P data pot is installed on each of observation points, and has a storage, a micro-processor, and a wireless device. The pots store sensing data and construct a dynamic ad-hoc network utilizing JXTA technology. Our approach achieves that users can issue queries in a uniform style and collect stored data in a ∞exible manner. In this paper, the structure and the implementation of the P2P data pot are described.
