The Modeling Approach Taken in this Book and Some Examples of Typical Serially Correlated Data

DeWayne R. Derryberry · 2014

Beginning with a distinction between signal and noise, a series of examples of time series data is presented. In each example the type of questions to be addressed and the nature of the signal are discussed. The nature of noise in time series data, contrasted with white noise is also discussed. Finally, the way in which that data was loaded into R is discussed.
