Hierarchical versus adaptive fuzzy logic controllers: design and performance

The paper compares two fuzzy logic controller structures from the view points of design difficulty and performance. The design procedures for an adaptive self tuning fuzzy logic controller and a hierarchical controller are described. The comparison between their design complications and performance has been made on two examples.>
