Appendix A: The Transformer
Patrick D. van der Puije · 2001
A transformer is a device which is used for coupling a signal or power from a source to a load in an efficient manner. It does this by changing the impedance of the source to match that of the load. This appendix discusses the “ideal” transformer and offers a definition of a “practical” transformer for comparison.
