This paper reports on a Digital Government pilot project, MapStats for Kids – a sub-project within the Quality Graphics for Federal Statistical Summaries (dgQG) project. MapStats for Kids will contribute toward a long-term goal of providing web-based support for statistical, graphic/cartographic, and domain literacy through online learning activities that are fun for young web-site visitors to use. 1
