Decomposition of Control in a Hierarchical Framework for Manufacturing Systems
James Violette, Stanley B. Gershwin · 1991
We describe a method for decomposing the real-time scheduling of complex manufacturing systems to limit computation time. It is based on a classification of events by frequency and location. An algorithm is described that includes feedback to compensate for random events. Simulation results are presented.
