Status of networking for high energy physics in the United States

Networks are used extensively for High Energy Physics in the United States.Although the networks have grown in an ad hoc manner with connections typically being made to satisfy the needs of one detector group, they now encompass to large fraction of the U.S. HEP community in one form or another.This paper will summarize the current status and experience with networks.
