Information system architectures: where we are?
M. Snene, Jorge Pardellas, Max Leonard · 2004
This work presents the different existing information system architectures. These architectures are regrouped under four categories: dispersed information system, agent based information system, distributed information system, and federated information system. It's based on seven criteria: the heterogeneity, autonomy, integration, evolution, integrity constraint, and communication. Finally, the different existing information system architectures are classified according to their usability and their use cases.
