This thesis briefly outlines the development of a novel design method¬ ology for Globally-AsynchronousLocally-Synchronous (Gals ) archi- tectures that was done in the first phase of the GALS project and then concentrates on the specification and implementation of appropriate on-chip interconnectionstructures for complexer Gals Systems.
