1 Introduction The forthcoming MPEG-7 standard provides the framework for efficient representation, processing, and retrieval of visual information. This includes many recent multimedia applications such as hyper/interactive video and video content-based searching and navigation [18] [10]. Yet many problems must still be addressed and solved before this technology can emerge. An important problem is the content classification into a number of categories [6]. The categorization of content will help the user speeding up the search.
