User Preference Modeling - A Survey Report

Traditionally Information Retrieval systems and Search Engines have been following a ”One-View of World ” approach when it comes to handling user queries. They do not differentiate between their users. The documents retrieved for a given keyword query would be similar for any user at any given instant of time. The ranking schemes used were based on the popularity of the web-pages, derived from the
